If you choose to use a CD accompaniment for your ABRSM Jazz exam here are a few points to remember on the day.
- Make sure that your CD player is reliable and easy to use.
- There will only be one 13 amp socket in the exam room.
- Make sure the CD player has a long mains lead and that it is close to the music stand.
- Remember to bring the correct CD.
- Make sure that the CD is clean and unscratched.
- Take a note of your track numbers into the room – you will see them on the top left-hand corner of the first page of each tune.
- Track 16 is the tuning track.
- Remember to play the track with the ‘minus one’ version and not the one with the full performance.
- Remember to adjust the volume before you go in and make any small adjustments to the balance in the exam room if you need to.
- Remember to press the stop button at the end of each tune!
