New Piano syllabus launching 7 June 2018

We’re launching our new Piano syllabus on Thursday 7 June.
100% refreshed repertoire
Alongside well-known tunes, there will be a wider range of styles than ever before, including special commissions and arrangements.
You’ll also find the new exam music on our Piano Practice Partner app. The app lets you practise at any speed, using one hand or both, and is a great way to build confidence.
No change to scales
We've been considering making changes to the scales and arpeggios requirements and some of you may have been involved in this consultation. Following extensive feedback from both expert consultants and piano teachers using our exams, we've decided to extend this fruitful period of consultative and developmental work and therefore won't publish new scale requirements for this syllabus. Sight-reading and aural tests also remain the same.
We intend to publish new scales for the 2021 & 2022 syllabus and will give you as much notice as possible about any future changes.
A reminder about dates
The new Piano syllabus, books and resources will be available from 7 June for use in exams from 1 January 2019.
You can play pieces from the current syllabus until 31 May 2019 (Session A) in the UK and Ireland and 31 December 2019 in all other countries.
